Second Of All The Commandment – Love thy neighbor as thyself
Love thy neighbor as thyself means encouraging, promoting, and representing the word of God. Be led by the spirit of Christ and your actions may encourage others to repent of their sins and get saved. Care about your community by helping those in need. The bible gives many examples of people in need that we should help, such as the poor, the sick, the imprisoned, and helpless widows. This commandment also means love yourself, and the way you love yourself is by keeping faith in God through Jesus Christ because it will save your soul from destruction. This world has a lot of issues because people are living sinfully.
God sent his son out of love to save the world, but the bible also makes it clear that not all will accept and receive the gift of salvation; there is a separation between the faithful and the unfaithful. Christians may find themselves at odds with the world, but if it is possible, we are to try to live peacefully with all men. Matthew 10:34-37 KJV “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” Romans 12:18 KJV “If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
If we love our neighbors, we shouldn’t have close personal relationships with people who chose to be sinners, and we shouldn’t promote or support their sinful acts. Bad companies corrupt good morals (reference: 1 Corinthians 15:33), and as a Christians you show a love for yourself and your neighbor by not partaking or promoting sinful ways because sin leads to death. Love yourself by cutting off any person that tries to put you on a sinful path. Matthew 5:30 KJV states “And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.” This verse teaches us to cut off pathways to living sinful.
Corinthians 5:11 states “But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.” Romans 1:28-32 KJV “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.“

Ephesians 5:6-13 “Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.”
